Taking a screenshot is one way to capture important details that you might need later on. OPPO phones offer a screenshot function that allows users to take scrolling screenshots to grab the entire webpage, as well as editing tools with markers, resizing, and more. Follow the steps below to learn how to capture screenshots and more.
Note: Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].
Capture your OPPO smartphone's screen using the following ways:
Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons for about 2 seconds and the screen will briefly flash white, and you'll hear a shutter sound if your phone's sound is on. The screenshot is automatically saved in your Photo album.
For ColorOS 5.2 to ColorOS 14 and above: Slide the [Smart Sidebar] to appear, and tap [Screenshot] icon on Smart Sidebar to get a screenshot, then the screen will briefly flash white, and you'll hear a shutter sound if your phone's sound is on.
For ColorOS 15 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Accessibility & convenience] > [Screenshot] and toggle [3-finger swipe down] to enable.
For ColorOS 13 to ColorOS 14: Go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Screenshot] and toggle to enable the [3-finger swipe down] / [3-finger touch and hold] option.
For ColorOS 7 to ColorOS 12: Go to [Settings] > [Convenient tools] > [Gesture & motions] > and toggle [Gesture screenshot] / [Swipe down with 3 fingers to take screenshot] to enable the three fingers screenshot.
You can easily take longer and scroll screenshots with simple taps. A long screenshot allows you to take a scrolling screenshot of your conversations on messaging apps or a full webpage.
For ColorOS 6.1 and above: Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons for about 2 seconds, or swipe down the screen with three fingers to take a screenshot of the current page. Tap the screenshot, and tap [Long Screenshot] / [Scroll], then scroll the page up or down and stop whenever you want to. Tap [Done] / [Complete] to generate a long screenshot. The image is saved in the Photos app.
Alternatively, you can tap the Scroll icon below the screenshot preview to take a long screenshot.
For ColorOS 6.0 to ColorOS 14 and above: After you've taken a screenshot, tap the screenshot, and tap [Edit]. You can use the fancy new markup features to optimize it instantly, such as auto-enhance, crop & rotate, filters, stickers, and more. Choose your options by tapping, then tap [Done] to save your changes.
For ColorOS 5.0 and 5.2: After you've taken a screenshot, tap the screenshot, then tap [Edit]. You can use the fancy new markup features to optimize it instantly, such as adding text, light, filters, and more. Tap [Done] to save your changes.
Note: Other features in editing your photos may vary per phone model.
For ColorOS 7.0 to ColorOS 13 and above: After you've taken a screenshot, tap the preview for the screenshot, then tap [*Doodle]. You can highlight a word or write a note on the image. Tap [Done] to save your changes.
For ColorOS 5.2 to 6.0: After you've taken a screenshot, tap the preview for the screenshot, and then tap [Edit], then tap [*Marker Pen].
Note: The available color for Doodle and Marker Pen is red color only.
Alternatively, you can follow the below steps to have other color pens available.
For ColorOS 7.0 and above: Take a screenshot to the page you want, then tap the preview of the screenshot > [Edit] > [Markup] and choose the desired brush, pencil, shape, color, and size.
For ColorOS 5.2 to 6.0: Take a screenshot to the page you want > [Edit] > [Doodle] > choose the desired brush, color, and size.
You can now take a screenshot while gaming without a pause or the screenshot picture popping up since the screenshot will show a notification that it was done.You can tap the notification to view it or do it later.
