    What's Error Code 354 on OPPO Phone

    Have you installed an application on your phone, and a prompt appears saying "Error Code 354?" Perhaps the application you installed needs your permission to use your phone's front camera, or the app got corrupted while installing it. The Error Code 354 or Missing/ Bad File Provider shows up when the app got corrupted while it's downloading or failed to access your permission. If you want this issue solved on your OPPO device, continue to read on!


    Note: Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].

    Below are the troubleshooting steps you can do on your OPPO phone if this error occurs.


    Check for a system update

    Go to [Settings] > [System Updates] / [Software update] / [About Device].

    Update apps in Google Play Store

    Go to the [Play Store] app on your homescreen and at the upper right, tap your [Profile icon] > [Manage apps & device] > [Manage] and tap the app you want to update. Or select the apps to update and tap the icon at the upper-right corner. See How to Update Applications in Google Play Store.

    • To auto-update the apps: Go to [Play Store] and tap your [Profile icon] at the upper right, then tap [Settings] > [Network preferences] > [Auto-update apps] and select an option you prefer.


    Check App Permissions on Google Chrome

    Check if permission for the camera is allowed on Google Chrome. See The App Permission Manager on OPPO Phone.

    • Alternatively, go to [Chrome] on your homescreen, and at the upper right corner, tap [Google Chrome 3 dotsthree-dotted vertical line] and tap [Settings], then tap [Site settings] > [Camera] and toggle to allow. 


    Reinstall the app you had a problem with

    To uninstall the app, go to [Play store] and tap your [Profile icon] > [Manage apps & device] > [Manage] and tap the application you wish to uninstall and tap [Uninstall]. Tap [Uninstall] again to proceed.

    • Alternatively, on the home screen, locate the app you want to uninstall and tap and hold it, then tap [App info] > [Uninstall] > [OK] to proceed. Or on your homescreen, go to [Play store] and search for the app you want to uninstall, and tap [Uninstall].  If this issue persists, you may uninstall the app permanently to avoid errors in the future.

    Restart your OPPO phone

    Press the Power and Volume Up buttons for at least 8 seconds or until you see the OPPO logo. See more How to Force Restart an OPPO Phone.
