The OPPO System Upgrade Tool aims to help OPPO phone users update their smartphone's software easily. With this tool, OPPO phone users who experience failure on software updates or do not receive an update can upgrade their smartphone's system version. Read on!
Note: The OPPO System Upgrade Tool is only available for ColorOS 11 and above version. Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].
Please make sure your phone has sufficient battery power.
DO NOT turn off your phone during the update process.
Enable USB debugging on your phone and allow your computer to debug your phone.
Please make sure your phone has sufficient storage space to receive the update package.
Please back up important data on your phone in advance to prevent data loss.
1. On your computer, download the system upgrade tool from the OPPO official website.
2. On your phone, enable USB debugging.
Note: You need to enable the Developer Options first before enabling the USB debugging.
To enable Developer Options: Go to [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device] > [Version] and tap [Build number] for 7 times, then enter your lock screen password to enable the Developer Options.
Enable USB Debugging: Go to [Settings] > [Additional settings] / [System Settings] > [Developer options] and turn on [USB debugging].
3. On your computer, open the update tool file and follow the prompt.
4. Then, connect your phone to your computer using a compatible USB cable and wait for about 10 seconds. The phone will display a pop-up message asking whether to allow USB debugging, then tap [Allow].
4. The computer will display a pop-up message asking to confirm the installation on your phone, then click [OK].
5. Then, tap [Install] on your phone. The Update Assistant app will be automatically installed on user's phone.
1. Open the update tool on your computer and check for updates. Click [Start upgrade] / [Update now] to go to the OTA update package download page.
Note: If the "Start upgrade" or "Update now" button is greyed out, no updates are available for the current model.
2. Wait until the download is complete. You can check the progress through the progress bar.
3. After the update package is downloaded and moved to the user's phone, the computer will inform the user with a pop-up message and click [OK].
4. On your phone, find the update package version and tap [Install]. The installation will take about 5 minutes.
If you can’t update by yourself, you can ask for the assistance of the local OPPO Service Center.
