Periodically restarting your OPPO phone could clean up broken or damaged caches and prevent app bugs to make for a smoother user experience.
Press and hold the Power button for at least 8 seconds and tap or slide [Restart]. Alternatively, press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons for at least 8 seconds or until the OPPO logo appears.
Determine if this issue occurs when you are messaging just one person or many different people.
Check the cell signal in the status bar. The more bars, the stronger the signal. If the signal is weak, change your location and test again. Turn on [Airplane mode], wait about 8 seconds, then turn it off, and let your phone get network and communication signals automatically. See OPPO Phone has No Network Coverage or Poor Signal.
To turn airplane mode: Swipe down from the top to see the Control Center and tap the [Airplane mode] icon. Alternatively, go to [Settings] and toggle to turn on/off the [Airplane mode].
For ColorOS 11 to ColorOS 13 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Connection & Sharing] and toggle to turn on/off the [Airplane mode].
Take out the SIM card and check if it isn't damaged. Clean the chip and put the card back in, or try another SIM card on your phone to see if you fixed the issue.
